A Wonderful Cold Call

While we were sitting in the airport with our client, we decided to cold call the buyer at Costco to seek an appointment to present her new line. Category buyers are usually so busy that it's difficult to get them on the phone - especially on the first try. Not this time! The gatekeeper graciously passed us through and we had but ten seconds to hook the buyer's attention. After our brief introduction and quick product pitch the buyer exclaimed, "I have to have this on my desk!" That was definitely a first!
It's safe to say that in a couple of weeks, we're heading to Seattle!
